OUR HISTORY

Starting small, growing big.

Back in 1974, Henk Batstra kicked off our journey with just $800 and a vision, starting Henksan Printers. His hard work set the stage for what would become 61 Design. When Henk’s son, Stefan, jumped in with his graphic design skills, we really took off, becoming a successful business in Ballarat. Our story is all about relationships, staying dedicated, and loving what we do in design.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

A heartwarming story

61 Design & Western United FC (WUFC).

Our founder, Henk Batstra, and son Stefan connected with WUFC over their shared passion for the beautiful game during the club’s early days in the A-League.

As our business relationship evolved into a deep friendship, WUFC rallied around us during Henk’s battle with terminal illness, offering unforgettable experiences and honouring him with match-day shirts emblazoned with ‘Batstra.’

Today, we proudly fulfil the club’s printing needs and sponsor the Kick to Win competition at home games, reflecting our shared values of teamwork and success.
