Website Hosting and Care Plan: Terms and Conditions

Hosting with Us: What’s Included

At 61 Design, we provide high-performance, secure and reliable hosting for your website. When you choose to host your website with us, you’re getting more than just space on a server.

 

Website Hosting

Our hosting is designed specifically for business websites. It ensures your site stays online, performs well, and remains protected from common threats. We use Australian-based servers with fast speeds, robust infrastructure, and proactive management.

 

Dedicated CPU, Memory and IP

Unlike shared hosting environments that can slow your site down, we provide dedicated resources for every website. That means:

  • Dedicated CPU and memory allocation
  • Your own unique IP address
    This ensures your website performance isn’t impacted by other users or noisy neighbours.

 

Web Application Firewall (WAF)

Your site is protected around the clock by an advanced Web Application Firewall. It helps block malicious traffic, prevent hacking attempts, and detect malware threats before they become a problem.

 

Daily Backups

Your data is automatically backed up every day. If anything goes wrong, accidental deletions, updates that break functionality, or other issues, there are multiple restore points available.

 

What’s Not Included

While we offer premium hosting, some services fall outside of what is included in your hosting fee.

 

Plugins

Plugins are small software components that add functionality to your website (e.g. contact forms, sliders, e-commerce). These are often available through third parties and require regular updates for security and compatibility reasons. Plugins can also attract additional fees; sometimes these will be subscription-based.

Important:

  • We do not automatically update plugins as part of your hosting.
  • Automatically updating plugins can break website functionality or cause downtime.
  • Plugin updates need to be done manually and carefully, with full testing after each update.
  • If plugin maintenance is needed and you’re not on our monthly plan, this work will be charged at our standard hourly rate.

 

Website Updates

Website software (e.g. WordPress, themes, plugins) must be kept up to date to maintain security and performance. Unmonitored website themes, plugins and core software updates are often some of the main reasons websites go down.

Hosting does not include:

  • WordPress core updates
  • Theme updates
  • Plugin updates
  • Testing after updates

These tasks are covered in our Website Care Plan or can be completed as-needed at our hourly rate.

 

Domains

A domain is your website’s address (e.g. yourbusiness.com.au).
Clients are responsible for:

  • Registering and renewing their website domain name
  • Keeping the domain billing and contact details up to date with their provider
  • Ensuring domain-related emails (e.g. renewal reminders) are not missed

We can provide advice and guidance, but we do not manage domains as part of hosting.

Please note: If your domain expires or is lost due to non-renewal or management issues, any work required to recover, reinstate, or transfer it, including liaising with registrars or domain providers, is not included in your hosting plan and will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

 

Billing

  • Hosting is billed on a monthly or annual basis in advance.
  • Invoices must be paid within 7 days of the issue date.
  • Failure to pay may result in:
    • Suspension of services
    • Additional reactivation fees
    • Termination of hosting after 45 days overdue

 

Cancellation

You can cancel your hosting service at any time with 30 days’ written notice.

  • Written notice is to be provided to accounts@61design.com.au
  • No refunds are provided for unused portions of the hosting term
  • If you require assistance migrating your website to another host, we can provide a backup file or assist (hourly fees will apply)

 

Opt in: Website Care Plan – $135 + GST/month

To take care of all of those items that are not included as part of hosting, we offer a proactive monthly maintenance service:

 

What’s Included:

Each month, we perform the following checks and updates:

  • Security Scan: Check for signs of hacking or breaches
  • Speed & Performance Monitoring: Ensure your site loads efficiently
  • Security Feature Review: Confirm all tools and protections are up to date
  • Plugin Updates: Manually update plugins to stable versions and test for issues
  • Blacklist Check: Ensure your domain is not flagged by spam/malware lists
  • Monthly Summary Email: A summary email detailing any work completed and any key findings. You’ll have peace of mind knowing your site is well-maintained and any issues are caught early.
  • Cost: $135 + GST/month
  • Billing: Invoices are provided monthly for payment
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice

Website Care Plan Terms & Conditions

Effective from 1 January 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to clients who subscribe to the 61 Design Website Care Plan (also referred to as “the Plan”). By signing up, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

Scope of Service

The Website Care Plan provides proactive monthly maintenance and monitoring for your website to help ensure ongoing security, stability, and performance.
Each month, 61 Design will:

  • Conduct a website check-up at the beginning of your billing cycle.
  • Perform security, performance, and plugin checks.
  • Apply and test approved plugin updates.
  • Monitor for potential blacklist or malware issues.
  • Provide a confirmation email summarising the results of the check-up and any recommendations for further action.

 

Reporting and Recommendations

Following each check-up, you will receive a summary email outlining:

  • The status of your website at the time of review.
  • Any updates or maintenance performed.
  • Recommendations for any further actions that may be beneficial.

Please note:

  • All recommendations are provided as advice only.
  • Any additional work requested or required as a result of these recommendations (e.g. resolving complex plugin conflicts, implementing new features, restoring backups) will be quoted separately and billed at our standard hourly rate.

 

Service Limitations

The Website Care Plan aims to reduce the risk of website downtime, security breaches, or performance issues. However:

  • It does not guarantee that hacking, breaches, or technical failures will never occur.
  • 61 Design cannot be held liable for any website downtime, data loss, or business interruption that occurs between scheduled check-ups or as a result of third-party software issues.
  • Responsibility for content updates, new feature requests, or third-party integrations lies with the client unless otherwise agreed.

 

Billing and Scheduling

  • Check-ups are performed at the beginning of each billing cycle.
  • The Plan is billed monthly in advance or at an agreed rate.
  • Invoices are due within 7 days of issue unless otherwise arranged.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension of the plan until payment is received.

 

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription to the Website Care Plan at any time with 7 days’ written notice prior to your next billing cycle.
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of the billing period.
  • Once cancelled, your website will no longer receive monthly check-ups or monitoring.

 

Liability

While all reasonable care is taken to maintain and secure your website, 61 Design provides no warranty that your website will remain free of issues or vulnerabilities.
61 Design shall not be held responsible for:

  • Loss of income or revenue resulting from website downtime, hacking, or technical failure.
  • Issues arising from third-party software, hosting providers, or changes made by other parties.

 

Acceptance

By subscribing to the 61 Design Website Care Plan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

 

If You’re Not on the Monthly Plan

To be included in our monthly Website Health Checks, you must actively sign up to the plan. If you do not sign up, it will be considered that you have opted out of this service.

If you choose not to sign up to our Website Care Plan:

  • Your site will not undergo routine security, performance, or plugin checks
  • Updates will not be performed unless you request them
  • Any maintenance or repairs required will be billed at our standard hourly rate
